The 9:10 Project

In Luke 9:10-17 we read about the miracle that Jesus performs when he feeds a crowd of five thousand. “Late in the afternoon the twelve disciples came to him and said, “Send the crowds away to the nearby villages and farms, so they can find food and lodging for the night. There is nothing to eat here in this remote place. But Jesus said, ‘You feed them.””
We took this passage from scripture to heart and launched the 9:10 Project. 9:10, as we call it, provides food to school-aged children in our community who face food insecurity. We shop for, package, and distribute red bags filled with food to our local elementary school on Fridays so that students have food to eat over the weekend.
We are always looking for volunteers to help us shop for and organize our supplies and to package and distribute the red bags. If you are interested in volunteering in this vital ministry you can email us at or call us at 330-362-5002.
If you can’t volunteer but still want to be involved in this ministry you can pray for all of the students and their families that are impacted by this ministry and for all our volunteers who give of their time to fill the red bags every week. You can also donate online or in-person, just be sure to mark your gift “9:10 Project.”
